A senior partner and a founding member of Markesbery & Richardson Co., L.P.A., Glenn received his undergraduate degree from Xavier University, cum laude, and his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he appeared on the Dean’s list. Glenn began his legal career with G. Richard Wilson and Associates in 1988 and later was a founding member of Wilson & Markesbery Co., L.P.A and its successor firm, Markesbery & Richardson Co., L.P.A.
Glenn’s practice includes construction litigation, insurance defense including commercial and personal lines, insurance coverage, wrongful death, premises liability, and other facets of civil litigation.
Samuel A. Gradwohl graduated from the College of Wooster in 1995 with a B.A. in Political Science. Samuel graduated from Capital University Law School in 1999 and was class representative for the Student Bar Association. Upon graduation from law school Samuel spent three years in Columbus, Ohio, practicing law throughout the State of Ohio. He relocated to Dayton, Ohio, where he worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Montgomery County.
Samuel has been with Markesbery & Richardson since December 2002 and his practice includes civil defense work, as well as Workers’ Compensation defense. He is licensed in Ohio, Kentucky, Southern District of Ohio, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Barry is a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Law (2000), and the University of Kentucky (1996, cum laude, with honors) where he majored in Political Science and History. He joined Markesbery & Richardson and has since continued to focus his litigation practice on all aspects of construction law, insurance defense and insurance coverage issues. In addition, Barry handles a variety of matters pertaining to premises liability and small business representation.
Barry has also successfully argued matters in Ohio’s First, Fourth, Tenth and Twelfth Appellate Districts, as well as the Kentucky Court of Appeals. He is also active in the representation of clients and contractors through numerous mediation and arbitration proceedings.
Originally from Eastern Kentucky, Hope has spent the past several years in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area. Hope studied Political Science and Communications at the University of Kentucky. After graduating from the University of Kentucky she attended Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where she served on the Student Bar Association as Vice President and American Bar Association Representative. While in law school Hope interned with the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas and worked as clinical student at Children’s Law Center. Hope joined Markesbery & Richardson in July of 2020. Her practice includes insurance defense.
Originally from a small eastern Kentucky town, Kristen has spent the last three years practicing law in Kentucky. She obtained her bachelors of science in Psychology from the University of Pikeville in her home town. After graduating college Kristen attended Salmon P. Chase college of Law, where she taught street law classes to juveniles enrolled in the community diversion program as well as assisted the Legal aid of the bluegrass in helping indigent clients seeking legal counsel. While in law school Kristen also clerked for the law firm of Braden, Humfleet, and Devine located in Florence KY. Kristen joined Markesbery and Richardson this year in April of 2021. Her practice areas include personal injury, medical malpractice, subrogation, and insurance defense.
Christopher N. Neus graduated from Thomas More College with a B.A. in Historiography in 1996 where he achieved the dean’s list and scored in the top 2% nationally on his history field test. Chris attended College of William and Mary School of Law in 2001 where he achieved dean’s list status. Chris worked as an extern for court of appeals; Judge Robert Frank. His law work experience consists of both plaintiff and defense work in personal injury, construction law and contract claims. He is licensed in Ohio, Kentucky and the Federal Courts for Eastern and Southern Ohio. Chris has been with Markesbery and Richardson since September of 2021.
Rutger Dole is originally from Southeastern Indiana. In 2018 he attended Northern Kentucky University, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science. He then attended Salmon P. Chase College of Law and graduated Cum Laude in 2021. While in law school, Rutger was a law clerk for several law firms in the Northern Kentucky region where he was able to gain experience working in personal injury and bankruptcy law. Following graduation from Law School, he became a Staff Attorney for Judge Schrand of the Boone County Circuit Court. Rutger joined Markesbery & Richardson in January of 2023. His practice areas include personal injury, subrogation, and insurance defense.
